Our Restrooms Are Locally Made
Green Transportation
Rumpke uses aluminum tanker trucks that run on ultra-low sulfur diesel for all transportation of these toilets and units. Using these trucks increases fuel mileage and reduces the company’s carbon footprint compared to other transportation options.
Made From Recycled Content
Our portable toilets are manufactured using recycled plastic.
Once restrooms reach the end of their life, some are recycled; however, a lot are sold for reuse. Our toilets aren’t the only thing made from recycled content. We also stock our restrooms with toilet paper made from recycled paper products.
Eco-friendly Cleaning Process
Non-aerosol cleaners and non-staining blue chemicals are used as well as 100% biodegradable graffiti remover.
Eco-friendly Disposal
Unlike alternative methods for waste disposal such as land application, all waste from Rumpke portable restrooms is disposed of at a local waste water treatment plant so that it may be returned to the local water supply.

How often are portable restrooms cleaned?
Standard units include a 60-gallon capacity, and the cleaning frequency is once per week for up to ten people over a normal work week.
If you’re working on a construction site, based on crew size it is usually two or three times a week.
For larger events, the team at Rumpke may recommend a daily cleaning schedule to meet the needs of the venue and accommodate the expected attendance. Daily cleaning for larger events will ensure sanitary conditions inside your restroom for all users and includes replenishing of supplies.
Cleaning schedules can also be based on the circumstances of the rental.
