Rumpke Joins “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Aug. 4, 2011—Rumpke will donate waste removal, recycling and portable restroom service for ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” project in Greater Columbus. Rumpke will provide containers for trash and collection of recyclables, inlcuding cardboard, paper products, aluminum cans and plastic bottles. The recycling will be processed at Rumpke’s recently renovated recycling facility in Columbus. Portable restroom service will also be provided.

“With more than 300 employees in Central Ohio, Rumpke believes in the importance of giving back to the communities that support us,” said Andrew Rumpke, vice president at Rumpke.

“We have been extremely impressed by the project coordinators and look forward to being involved in the process.”

Rumpke has donated to several Extreme Makeover projects in recent years, including episodes filmed in Dayton, Ohio and Cynthiana, Ky.

The Emmy award winning reality program “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” entering its 9th season, is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. It’s executive produced by Brady Connell and George Verschoor. David Goldberg is Chairman, Endemol North America. Episodes air Sunday from 8 ‐ 9 p.m., ET on ABC.
