- Rumpke acquired the facility in March 2011.
- The facility is approximately 22,050 sq. ft and sits on 5.11 acres.
- One full-time Rumpke employee and 5 contracted employees from R&J operate the site.
Processes & Capabilities
- The facility receives waste from Cuyahoga, Lake, Summit, Portage, Lorain, Geauga, Medina and Stark counties.
- Waste is consolidated and taken to Rumpke’s Noble Road Sanitary Landfill.
- Recycling is taken to The Rumple Recycling & Resource Center, the Medina County Recycling Center & Transfer Station or Waste Management’s Cleveland Recycling Center in Oakwood, OH.
- The transfer station will soon add a compactor to maximize the amount of single-stream recycling shipped from the facility per load.
