Thurgood Marshall Graduate Earns Environmental Scholarship

 

 

 

DAYTON, Ohio—July 22, 2014— A new scholarship recognizing environmental efforts was presented to recent Thurgood Marshall High School graduate Gynice Person.

 

The Rumpke Recycling Scholarship was given to Person for her efforts to conserve energy and natural resources through recycling. She produced an environmental video for her school about the dangers of pollution. Person will attend Xavier University in the fall to earn a degree in Psychology.

 

“My desire to help people overcome their problems and help them live a better life is very important to me,” Person wrote in an essay.
