Slow Down to Get Around Intro

Thank you for your interest in the Slow Down To Get Around safety campaign. Many of us in the transportation industry provide a variety of services, which require our employees to stop and work in public roadways. We are counting on your assistance to promote this safety message to create a higher level of awareness throughout the country. Please read on to learn how you and your organization can help raise awareness and protect employees.

You can request a Slow Down To Get Around information packet by emailing bparker@envasns.org.  In the email please include your name, title, company name and address. The information packet contains a DVD featuring a customizable, 30 second, Slow Down to Get Around television public service announcement, and two radio spots and a second CD featuring electronic files that you can use to promote the campaign throughout your service regions. The thirty-second television and radio commercials included in this package are free. All production costs were paid by The McNeilus Company (www.mcneiluscompanies.com).

We hope you will agree that this program is important enough to purchase promotional airtime within your local communities. Also, please keep in mind that many radio and television stations may welcome these commercials as public service announcements, and consequently may air them without charge. Finally, please note that these advertisements were developed in a generic manner so that you may place your company or group's logo and/or tag line on these spots.

Promotional items and decals are other great ways to boost awareness. Slow Down To Get Around promotional items and stickers can be purchased by contacting the Niehaus Corporation at (859) 331-3733 or by visiting their website at www.niehauscorp.com

Soon you also will be able to access information at the National Solid Wastes Management Association's website www.envasns.org.

Every community has groups or organizations that focus time and energy on building safety awareness. Please feel free to creatively share the message of this campaign with supporting organizations in your service areas. Once again we appreciate your interest in promoting safety and we welcome your participation. Together, we can save lives.
